Mary Lucille Henshaw Murphy, 88, Galatia, died at 10:23 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at Harrisburg Medical Center.
She was born March 16, 1919 in Saline County, the daughter of the late William and Othella Helen Mitchell Babb. She was married July 4, 1936 to J.R. "Jimmy" Henshaw, and he died Nov. 19, 1968. She later married Carl Hatfield and Glen Murphy, and they both preceded her in death.
Mrs. Murphy was retired from Harrisburg Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Eldorado and the American Legion Auxiliary, and she was also worthy matron of Eastern Star at Stonefort.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Loretta Cheek of Eldorado, Edna and Larry Robbins of Jacksonville, Fla., and Brenda and Charlie Kalbfleisch of Glenarm; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Henshaw of Norris City, and James R. Henshaw Jr. of Vincennes, Ind.; two sisters, Rachel Shewmake of Harrisburg and Pauline Hill of Pensacola; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, the Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
