On Jun 5 1917 Roy Edmund Henshaw, age 24, registered for the World War I draft in Madison County, Virginia.    He declared he was born Sept. 23 1892 in Madison County, Virginia, and he was then residing in Haywood, Madison County, Virginia where he was single, without dependents, and occupied loading shells at the Eddystone Ammunition Plant in Eddystone, Pennsylvania.    He was recorded as medium height, medium build, gray eyes, dark hair.^c
