She married Joseph Hinshaw, 1-10-1788, Cane Creek MM, North Carolina.²    Joseph Hinshaw, son of Jacob Hinshaw & Rebecca Mackey, was born about 1742, County Armagh, Ireland.^42,3    Joseph and Ruth were second cousins (Ruth's grandfather Jacob Marshall was the brother of Joseph's grandmother Mary Marshall).

Joseph Hinshaw died Nov 30 1827, Surry County, North Carolina.⁴²
