Margaret Foster Hinshaw, 92, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. A native of Cedar Rapids, lowa, she spent most of her life in Southern California where she went to college, married, and raised a family. Margaret was an avid gardener, traveler and bird watcher. She was active in United Methodist Women and the Pomona College Alumni Association.
She is survived by a son, David R. Hinshaw (Carmen) of Monrovia, CA; a daughter, Margaret Robin (Vicki Durand) of East Hampton, NY; daughter, Deborah J. Hinshaw (Thomas Newlin) of Columbus, IN; a brother, David H. Foster of Oxford, MD; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Foster, and daughter, Barbara S. Hinshaw.
A memorial service will be held at GreenTree Assisted Living on Saturday, April 20, at 11a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Audubon Society or Planned Parenthood.
Arrangements were made by Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street.

A memorial service is planned for Sat., Jan. 15, at 2:00 p.m. at The Little Chapel of the Dawn in Santa Monica. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
