John Samuel Hinshaw1,2,3 [Jack Hinshaw4].

Born Apr 4 1870, Kentucky.1,3,5  

He married Sarah Elizabeth Burton2 [Lizzie Burton4].  Sarah was born Feb 9 1880.1  

Sarah died May 15 1897, buried Brownsville Cemetery, Hickman County, Kentucky.1  

John Samuel Hinshaw died Jan 18 1899, buried Brownsville Cemetery, Hickman County, Kentucky.1  

John and Lizzie are buried next to John's father's grave.1  Their gravestone reads:

Father and Mother, thou now art at home among another fair land above, but -- -- again thy child must roam till summoned by thy love".

It is believed that John died as a result of service in the Spanish-American war (Apr 21 1898 to Apr 11 1899).1
