He married Ada Milburn "Millie" Hunt, Jun 19 1949.1  Ada, daughter of Gordon Hunt & Margaret Nail, was born Jan 10 1922, Salisbury, North Carolina.1,7  

In 1998 Lee was living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He was the recognized family historian for his Hinshaw branch.1

Lee Morrow Hinshaw

Mr. Lee Morrow Hinshaw, 87, of Winston-Salem died April 22, 2003, at Forsyth Medical Center following heart surgery.  He was born July 31, 1915, in Winston-Salem, to the late Guy and Aileen Hinshaw.  Mr. Hinshaw was educated in the city schools, graduated from Reynolds High School in 1933 and went on to graduate from North Carolina State University in 1938 with a mechanical-engineering degree and later had a private civil-engineering practice in Winston-Salem.  He was enlisted into the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942 and discharged in 1946 and retired from the Air Force Reserve as a lieutenant colonel.  His family was a charter member of Centenary United Methodist Church.  He was a member of the Winston-Salem Engineer's Club and the Retired Officer's Association. He also volunteered at Forsyth Medical Center for Meals-on-Wheels; Habitat for Humanity; and went on building teams for the Western Carolina Conference.  Mr. Hinshaw was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy M. and Harold W. Hinshaw.  Survivors include his wife, Millie Hinshaw; daughters Ann Hinshaw Shearon and her husband, Tom, and their son, Scott Patella, all of Wilmington, Carol H. Morris and her children, Glenn and Terrie Morris, of Winston-Salem; a son, David S. Hinshaw and his wife, Charlene, and their children, Kelly, Sam and Joe Hinshaw, all of Poquoson, Va.; sisters Esther Steffel and husband, Ray, of Fairfield, Ohio, and Helen H. David [sic] and husband, George, of High Point; and a brother, Jack W. Hinshaw and his wife, Ann, of Plainfield, Ill.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2003, at Centenary United Methodist Church Sanctuary with the Rev. Roland Barnhardt and the Rev. Bob Nations officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's own choice or to the World and National Outreach Program at Centenary United Methodist Church, 646 W. Fifth St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.  Memorial Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
