Woodrow Hanshew
Services for Woodrow Hanshew, of Sontag, are 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Nola Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 4 to 10 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hanshew, 85, died Sept. 12, 2005, at Monticello Community Care Center. He was born in Arkansas on Jan. 20, 1920, to Henry Hanshew and Maude Moore Hanshew.
He was a welder's helper. He was a member of Nola Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Nonerle Hanshew, of Sontag; his daughters, Shirlene Stephens, of Silver Creek, Jan Smith, of Grady, Ala., and Trish Davis, of Monticello; and his son, Jackie Hanshew, of Sontag; his sister, Violet Evans, of Missouri; his brothers, Cecil Hanshew, of Florida, and Arthur Hanshew, of California; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
