He married Clarinda Francis Clay, Mar 12 1874, Lawrence County, Kentucky.^g,b    (Clara Francis Clay)^h,i    (Mary Francis Clay)^j    (Mary Francis Clev)¹¹⁴    Clarinda, daughter of William M. + Mary J. Clay, was born Nov 23 1854, Louisa, Lawrence County, Kentucky.^b,k,l,d    (Nov 18 1855, Catlettsburg, Boyd County, Kentucky).ⁱ    (c1858).^e

Daniel and family were shown in the 1880 census (Jun 25 1880), Durbin Township, Boyd County, Kentucky:^e

Clarinda died Nov 21 1924.^b

There is a "Handchew Cemetery" in Franklin County, Arkansas (north of the town of Ozark).^o    Two of Daniel & Mary's children, C.C. and Mary, are buried in this cemetery.^p    There are apparently additional graves with no remaining markers.^p    It is possible (although unknown for certain) that perhaps Daniel and Mary might be buried in this cemetery.
