Robert Tribble Hinshaw4 [Robert Trible Hinshaw5, Robert Tribble Henshaw1, Robert Trible Henshaw6].
Born Jan 13 1898, Estillfork, Jackson County, Alabama.2,5,6 (Jan - 1897).7,8
Robert's birth was not recorded in Alabama (not altogether unusual then in rural America). In 1943, in order to work in the bomber plant in Fort Worth, Texas, Robert obtained a birth certificate from Hunt County, Texas. The birth certificate properly shows his birth as occuring in "Estell Fork", Alabama, but the birth certificate itself is actually recorded in Hunt County, Texas.6
On Sep 12 1918 Robert Trible Hinshaw, age 20, registered for the World War I draft at Greenville, Hunt County, Texas. He declared he was born Jan 13 1898, and was then a resident of Lone Oak, Hunt County, Texas where he was a farmer. He was recorded as tall, slender, black eyes, black hair.5
He married Reba Gladys Wheeless, about 1922.1,2 Reba, daughter of James + Ora Wheeless, was born Mar 25 1906, Emory, Rains County, Texas.1,2,9
Robert and family were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 9 1930), Hunt County, Texas:2
Hinshaw, Robert T., head-of-household, age 32, born in Alabama; parents born in Alabama; first married at age 24; rented home; no radio in home; occupation: farmer, general farm; not a veteran.
Hinshaw, Reba G., wife, age 24, born in Texas; father born in Mississippi; mother born in Texas; first married at age 16.
Hinshaw, Clyde V., son, age 6, born in Texas; father born in Alabama; mother born in Texas.
Hendrick, Troo E. [unclear], nephew, age 4 years 9 months, born in Texas; parents born in Texas.
Living nearby in 1930 was the family of sister Ella C. (Hinshaw) Hendricks.10
Robert Tribble Hinshaw died Nov 15 1953.1
After Robert died, Reba remarried to Royce Hal Grace on Jan 29 1966, Tarrant County, Texas11 (apparently keeping her name unchanged as Reba Gladys Henshaw).11
Reba died Nov 9 1998, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas; age 92.1,9,11,12
Reba's obituary was published as follows:9
Reba Gladys Henshaw, 92, of Fort Worth died Monday Nov. 10, 1998. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Star Cemetery.
Mrs. Henshaw was born March 25, 1906 in Emory, daughter of James and Ora Wheeless. She was a longtime member of Birchman Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Clyde "Jack" and Mary Lou of Fort Worth; grandchildren Dr. C.V. Henshaw, Jr. and Robert Howie Henshaw of Fort Worth and Linda Kaye Tucker of Choctaw, Okla.; four great-grandchildren Michelle Duke of Lewisville, Eve Henshaw of Fort Worth and B.J. Mathias and Jeff Tucker of Oklahoma and a great-great-grandson, Warren Duke Jr. of Lewisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Henshaw; a sister, Eula Mae Hambrick and three brothers, Hubert "Sky", Johnny and Claude Wheeless.
