Josephine B. Hinshaw
ROYAL CENTER -- Josephine B. Hinshaw, 84, of 105 E. Beckley St., died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital, Logansport. Born June 3, 1906, in Monticello, she was the daughter of William and Ada Snyder Blickenstaff. In 1923, she was married to Dr. John A. Hinshaw, who died Sept. 27,1954. She retired after 20 years of service with Community State Bank in Royal Center, where she had been a cashier. She also taught school for several years in Jefferson Township, Cass County, and worked for the Royal Center Telephone Co. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Royal Center. She was also a member of the Logansport Elkettes, was member and past president of the Progressive Club in Royal Center, and a 50-year member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star 375, Royal Center. She was a graduate of Madam Blaker's Teachers School in Indianapolis. Surviving are one son, John B., Royal Center; one sister, Pauline B. Burch, Framingham, Mass.; two grandsons; and six great-grandchildren. One brother preceded in death. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home. Royal Center, with the Rev, Doug Witt officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Monticello. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday, and from 8 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday in the funeral home, where an Eastern Star memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. FEB. 3,1991
