Thomas and Lucy lived their entire married life in what is now Yadkin County, North Carolina.1
Thomas Hinshaw died Dec 5 1824, Surry County, North Carolina; buried Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery.1,2
Thomas may have had some foreboding of his death, as on November 10, 1824, he made a deed of gift to his eldest son Benjamin of his personal property.1
Thomas was buried in what is now the cemetery of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. After Thomas' death, Lucy survived him many years, making her home with son Benjamin.1
