Janet Sue Hodges, 58, resident of Bartlesville, died at 11:30 PM on Thursday, January 23, at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday January 28, 2014 at the Life Church of Bartlesville, with Dr. Randy Schuneman officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Janet was born September 5, 1955 at Shawnee, Oklahoma to Roscoe and Pauline (King) Henshaw. She was later adopted by Cab Renick who raised her as his daughter. She grew up and received her education in Bartlesville Public Schools graduating from Sooner High School with the Class of 1973. She was married to David L. Hodges on May 13, 1978 in Bartlesville, and they made their home in Bartlesville all of their married life. She had worked as an office administrator for the family business and later for J.D. Stotts and Company; however, her main job, was a stay-at-home Mom to her daughter Lela, and as a homemaker. She was dedicated to her husband, daughter, and grandchildren.
Mrs. Hodges is survived by her husband David L. Hodges of the home, by her daughter; Lela Patton and husband Jared of Bartlesville, and step-daughter Shannon Hayes and her husband Russell of O'Fallon, Illinois, by 4 brothers; Jerry Henshaw, Harry Henshaw, Randy Henshaw of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Jaxon Renick of Dallas, Texas, 6 sisters, Irene Foster and husband Wally of Portland Oregon, Sue Hennan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mary Ann Briscoe of Hulbert, Oklahoma, Debbie Talton and husband Geremy, Cindy Payton and husband Tony, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jill Renick of South Padre Island, Texas, and by her 4 grandchildren Luke Hayes, Will, Jet and Anabella Patton. She was preceded in death by her adoptive father Cab Renick, a brother David Renick, and by her birth parents Roscoe and Pauline Henshaw.
