At Bangor MM (Iowa) on 1-20-1866, John was received on a certificate from Duck Creek MM, Indiana, dated 12-21-1865.10  

John was shown in the 1870 census (Aug 9 1870), working in the home of Elihu & Elizabeth Coffin, Bangor Township, Marshall County, Iowa:8
