Delsie Mae Hersman
Delsie Mae Hersman, 89, of Kanawha City, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at her residence.
She owned and operated the Southern Kitchen in Kanawha City for over 60 years. Delsie graduated from Elkview High School and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Kanawha City.
She is preceded death by her parents, Charles W. and Stella A. Carte Hanshaw; brothers, Herman, Kenneth and Ward Hanshaw.
Surviving are sisters, Freda Morton of Pinch and Marie Tofi of Kanawha City; brother, Homer Hanshaw of Pinch Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with John Bolt officiating. Burial will be in the Hanshaw Cemetery, Pinch.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at the funeral home.
