On Jun 9 1942 Ennis Henshaw, born 1916 in Alabama, enlisted in Chicago, Illinois as a private in the U.S. Army. He declared he had a grammar school education, and was single, without dependents. He was recorded as 70" tall, 158 lbs.6
The following article was published in the Riverdale "Pointer" (Riverdale, Cook County, Illinois) on July 20, 1944:8
Sgt. Innes Hinshaw, who arrived at the home of his brother, L. S. Hinshaw in Riverdale, July 9, on furlough, left Tuesday to return to Pueblo, Colo.

He married Frances Teschendorf.1,9 Frances, daughter of William Teschendorf, was born about 1925.9
In 1945 Ennis and Frances were living at 440 E. Lincoln Ave., Milwaukee, Wisconsin.9
Frances died Oct 15 1945, age 20. Frances' obituary was published in the "Milwaukee Journal" (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) on October 16, 1945 (Section L page 9)9 (see scan below).
In 1948 Ennis was living at 2559 S. Howell Ave., Milwaukee, Wisconsin.7
William Ennis Henshaw died Aug 18 1948, age 32.7

After Ennis and Frances died, daughter Donna Rae was awarded to a family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.1
