Born Mar 13 1865, Kansas.2,4,5,6  

He married Ida Ellen Stakley1,4 [Ida E. Stakely7,8, Ellen Stakley4], Jul 29 18831,4, Buell Chapel, Buell, Polk County, Oregon1,4.  Ida, daughter of Thomas + Eliza J. Stakely, was born Jan 1 1868, Lawrence County, Missouri.1,3,7,8,9,10,11  

The family moved to California and George worked in the area of Lodi and Santa Anna.  When returning home to Oregon the youngest daughter, who was only a few years old, died of dysentery.  This caused severe marital problems and Ida stayed in Blue Lake, California with the boys, while George returned to Oregon with Rose Gertrude and Velna May.  Ida remained in Blue Lake, except for visits to her daughters, until her death.12

Hinshaw, Thomas R., son, age 36, born in Oregon; father born in Missouri [sic]; mother born in Indiana [sic]; single; occupation: wood cutter, wood yard; not a veteran.

Ida died Feb 2 1935, Blue Lake, Humbolt County, California; age 67.1,9,10,14  

He then married Ida Abplanalp, about 1905.6  Ida was born Sep - 1865, Indiana.6,15  

George and Ida were shown in the 1910 census (Apr 1910), Accademy St., Dallas, Polk County, Oregon:6

Hinshaw, George W., head-of-household, age 45, born in Kansas; father born in Ohio; mother born in Missouri; second marriage; occupation: laborer, odd jobs; owned home (mortgaged).
Hinshaw, Ida, wife, age 44, born in Indiana; parents born in Switzerland; first marriage, married 5 years.
Living next door in 1910 was daughter Velma May and her husband;16 also living nearby was daughter Rose Gertrude and her husband.17  

George Washington Hinshaw died Jun 20 1920, Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon; buried Dallas Cemetary, 2065 SW Fairview Ave., Dallas, Polk County, Oregon.4,18,19
