He married Florence Flick¹¹ [Florence Flick Primer¹], May 10 1917¹¹, Pike County, Ohio¹¹.  Florence, daughter of Gottlieb Henry Flick & Almeda Elizabeth Worth, was born Jun 8 1890, Middletown, Montgomery County, Ohio.^1,11  

Florence had been previously married to John Primer, by whom she had three children,^1,8 including daughter Leona Primer and son Ellsworth "Ellsie" Primer.¹⁹  

On Jun 5 1917 Clifford Earl Hinshaw, age 23, registered for the World War I draft in Ross County, Ohio.  He declared he was born May 29 1893 in Bainbridge, Ohio, and he was then still residing in Bainbridge where he was a self-employed farmer with a wife and three children.  He claimed an exemption due to support of family.  He was recorded as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, dark brown hair.  Disability: "shot in foot slightly disable".¹³

Hinshaw, 755 Kintz St., Huntington, Indiana.  He was recorded as 5'8" tall, 150 lbs., blue eyes, brown hair, ruddy complexion.¹⁴  

Florence died Apr 23 1966, Bainbridge, Ross County, Ohio; age 75.^1,17  Death certificate #31183.¹⁷  

Florence's obituary was published in the "Springfield Daily News" (Springfield, Ohio) on April 24, 1966.²²
