The following article was published in the "Union City Times-Gazette" (Union City, Randolph County, Indiana) on Tuesday, November 21, 1939:5

Mendenhall Will Probated Monday.  

The will of Russell L. Mendenhall, who died October 17 near Union City, was probated in Randolph circuit court yesterday, the entire estate being left to the widow, Gladys Viola.  The will was executed October 5, 1939 with Landon E. Welch and Kenneth Hinshaw as witnesses.  Mrs. Mendenhall was nominated as executrix.  

In the event of the wife preceding the decedent in death, the estate was to be divided equally between the following children: Harold F, Russell L., Jr., Earl Ernest, Cletus Glen and Charles Franklin Mendenhall, Madeline Day, Margaret Ellen Mendenhall and Virgina Lea Mendenhall.

The following article was published in the "Union City Times-Gazette" (Union City, Randolph County, Indiana) on Saturday, December 30, 1939:6

Millie Campbell Will is Probated in Court Friday.  

The will of Millie Campbell, of Winchester route 4, who died December 23, was probated in Randolph circuit court yesterday, the husband, John Campbell, being made sole beneficiary.  

The will which was executed October 9, 1939, with Waldo Hickman, of Winchester route 4, and Kenneth C. Hinshaw, of Union City, as witnessess, provides for the following bequests in the event of the husband's prior death:

Three-sixteenths each to Campbell Richardson of Fergus, Redmond Richardson of Stratford and John Richarsdson of Ungnon, all in Ontario, Canada; two-sixteenths each to Dora Stack of Washington, N. C., and Corie Anthony of Greensburg, N. C.; and one-sixteenth each to Winifred Morgan of Converse, Emmet Rhoades of Marion and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hiatt of Winchester route 4.  

Mitchell A. Hinshaw, of Winchester route 3, was nominated as executor.

He married Edna -.7  Edna was born about 1908, Indiana.7  

Kenneth and Edna were shown in the 1940 census (Apr 13 1940), 318 Division Street, Union City, Randolph County, Indiana;7

Hinshaw, Kenneth, head-of-household, age 34, born in Indiana; completed 6 years of college; on Apr 1 1935 was living in the same city/place; rented home ($20/month rent); occupation: prosecuting attorney, county; worked 52 weeks in 1939; $2000 wages in 1939, plus other income.
Hinshaw, Edna, wife, age 32, born in Indiana; completed 3 years of college; on Apr 1 1935 was living in the same city/place.

In 1977 Kenneth was still living in/near Union City, Randolph County, Indiana.2  

Kenneth C. Hinshaw died Aug - 1977.2
