He married Charlotte Adell Worley11 [Della Worley1,12], Feb 22 189311, McLean County, Illinois11.  Charlotte, daughter of Elijah H. Worley & Isabel C. Taliaferro4,13,14,15,16,17, was born Dec 25 18724,13,14,15,16,17 [Dec - 18732,12], Anchor, McLean County, Illinois4,13,14,15,16,17.

Charles Wilson Hinshaw died Jan 5 189510,18 [Jan 4 18951,5,7], Cropsey, McLean County, Illinois10,18; buried Antioch Cemetery, Route 165, east of Colfax, McLean County, Illinois10,18.

Charles was murdered.  He and a neighbor had not been getting along well and he had told the neighbor not to hunt on his farm near a ditch.  A few minutes later as he was returning to his house he was fatally struck in the back of the head.1,19

Charles' death record showed a "duration of illness" of 5 hours,18 which probably accounts for some family records showing his death on Jan 4 while the county death record shows Jan 5 (he was probably struck by his neighbor at night and didn't die until after midnight).20
