Born about 1812, Tennessee.1,2,3
Note: Elizabeth's approximate birth year and place were consistently reported in three different censuses as c1812, Tennessee. However her parents were not married until 1816 and did not move to Tennessee until later (reportedly 1830). So in spite of the three consistent censuses it seems more likely that Elizabeth was probably born in North Carolina, probably after 1816.4 Note that Elizabeth was not able to read or write, so her birth information was very likely only held by memory and probably unwritten4 (and thus she herself might have mistaken her own birth information).4
She married Charles Applewhite Pippin.5 Charles, son of Hill Pippin & Nancy (Birdsong) Morris, was born about 1812, Georgia.1,2,5
Children:1,2
William Carroll Pippin, born Sep 2 1837, Warren County, Tennessee; died Feb 27 1920, Hickory County, Missouri; married Margaret/Margarette Jaily (children: Charles, Levi, Samuel, John, Nancy, William and Julie Ette Pippin).

Samuel Sterling Pippin, born c1843, Tennessee; killed in 1861 while recuperating from a bayonet wound in his brother's household when taken and killed by rogue Union soldiers; buried near Goodwin Hollow.

Elizabeth and family were shown in the 1850 census (Nov 1 1850), Pulaski County, Missouri (living with her family was widowed brother Levi and his two daughters):1

Elizabeth Pippin, age 38, born in Tennessee; cannot read or write.
William Pippin, age 11, born in Tennessee.
Samuel Pippin, age 7, born in Tennessee.
Levi Henshaw, age 29, born in Tennessee; labourer; cannot read or write.
Elizabeth and family were shown in the 1860 census (Jun 7 1860), Hickory County, Missouri:2

Elizabeth Pippin, age 48, born in Tennessee; cannot read or write.

Susanna Hinshaw, age 71, born in South Carolina; cannot read or write.
Emeline Kenedy, age 18, born in Kentucky.
Samuel A. Hill, age 11, born in Missouri; attended school.
The Susanna Hinshaw shown above is currently unidentified; from her age it appears she might have been a sister to Elizabeth's father, Eli Hinshaw.4 She was probably the same as an unidentified Susan Hinshaw of about the same age who had been living in 1850 with the family of John A. Hinshaw #10174.
Charles died before Aug 15 1870.3
Elizabeth, apparently widowed, was shown in the 1870 census (Aug 15 1870), living in the household of son William in Stark Township, Hickory County, Missouri:3
