He married Mary Etta Rich1,4,7,8 [Esther M. Rich3], Oct 23 18891,4,7,8, Randolph County, Indiana1,4,7,8.  Mary, daughter of Samuel J. Rich & Hester O. Camble2,3,6,8,9,10, was born Jul - 18732,3,6,8,9,10 [about 18728], Hambleton, Minnesota2,3,6,8,9,10.  Marriage performed by Ida Morris, Minister.  At the time of their marriage David, recorded as age 21, was a resident of Snow Hill, and Mary Etta, age 17, was a resident of Spartanburg, Randolph County, Indiana.8  

At White River MM on 4-5-1902, David & wife Mary Etta and children Samuel & Esther were received in membership.1

Mary died Apr 23 1944, buried Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana.18  

Mary Etta's obituary was published in the Union City Times-Gazette on Wednesday, April 26, 1944:18

Services For Mary Hinshaw On Wednesday.  

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Etta Hinshaw, 70, who died at 2:30 p. m. Sunday will be Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. in the Lynn Friends church with Rev. Adam Flatter assisted by Rev. Lowell Nichols in charge.  Burial will be at Fountain Park cemetery in Winchester.  

Friends may call any time at the residence.
