He married Sarah Dixon.1  Sarah, daughter of William Dixon & Sarah Hollingsworth.4  

At Cane Creek MM on 10-1-1763, George Martain was received on a certificate.2  

Three daughters of this family married Hinshaws:

Daughter Rachel married William Hinshaw
Daughter Mary married William's brother John Hinshaw
Daughter Sarah married William's first cousin Jacob Hinshaw
