She married John Benson, Jr., Oct 21 1830, Tazewell County, Illinois.2,3,4,5,6,7 John, son of John Benson & Sally/Sallie/Sarah Musick/Music, was born Oct 12 1807, Gibson County, Indiana.2,3,4
The Hinshaws and the Bensons were apparently friendly: John Benson married Penira; John's brother James Benson married Penira's first cousin Polly Ann Hinshaw; brother William Benson married Polly's sister (and Penira's cousin) Nancy Hinshaw; and brother Jesse married Penira's other cousin Nancy. Penira raised 12 children in White Oak Grove, Illinois.6
