Born Jul 7 1916, Kings Mill, Sharp County, Arkansas.^1,3,4  

During the 1920s Chester worked for the CCC (California Conservation Corps).¹  

He married Ruby Mae Ross, Jun 8 1936, Sharp County, Arkansas.¹  Marriage license dated Jun 6 1936.⁵  Ruby was born Aug 25 1916, Arkansas.¹  

Chester and Ruby were divorced.  Ruby remarried to - Turner.¹  Ruby died in 1964 in an auto accident in Colorado.^1,6  

He then married Edna Louise Ward, Jul 12 1954, Logan County, Arkansas.¹  Edna, daughter of Hoarce Ward & Effie Jewell Swiney, was born Apr 1 1933, Farmersville, Texas.¹  

Edna was named after her aunt Edna Ward Kinney.¹  

Chester met Edna in a tuberculosis sanitarium where he spent 5 years.¹  

After being released from the sanitarium, they moved to Armuna, California.  They then moved to Louisiana due to California health laws.¹  

Edna died May 28 1962, E.A. Conway Hospital, Monroe, Louisiana; buried Dunn, Louisiana.¹  Edna died from pneumonia.¹  

After Edna died, Chester was in bad health and couldn't care for small children, so his children were placed in foster care with Mr. & Mrs. Henry Lovie Laird of Pioneer, Louisiana, who raised the children to adulthood.^7,8  

Chester T. Henshaw died Feb 9 1967, Delhi, Louisiana; buried Dunn, Louisiana.¹  Medical: Chester died from a heart attack.¹
