A marriage bond was recorded for Margaret Henshaw & William Chamness on September 4, 1817, Chatham County, North Carolina.15  

William had been previously married Nov 4 1809 to Margaret's first cousin, Charity Sarah Moon, daughter of Jacob Moon and Ruth Hinshaw, by whom he had two children (Abigail and Sarah Chamness).8
