He married Lavada Sue Trowbridge, May 12 1963, Bicknell, Knox County, Indiana.^1,4  Lavada was born Jun 19 1943, Washington, Daviess County, Indiana.¹  

In 2006-2016 Harold and LaVada were living in Bicknell, Indiana.^5,6  

Harold Clark Hinshaw died Aug 20 2016, Good Samaritan Hospital, Bicknell, Knox County, Indiana; age 74.⁴

Harold Hinshaw May 05, 1942 - August 20, 2016 Harold Hinshaw, 74, Bicknell, left this earth to be with the Lord Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital.  Harold was born May 5, 1942, in Clinton, IN, the son of Francis and Pearl (Cory) Hinshaw.  He was raised in Bloomingdale, IN along with sisters Delores, Phyllis, and brother, Charles.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall, IN.  At the age of 21, he married LaVada Trowbridge.  They had four children, Randy Alan, Robert Dale, Matthew Dwayne, and Amanda Ruth.  He retired from General Motors in Indianapolis and moved to Bicknell.  He worked for Dillon Trucking for many years and was the hardest working man you would ever know.  He enjoyed golfing, sports and coaching his children.  If you didn’t like Harold, it was only because you didn’t know him.   He is survived by his wife LaVada; son Randy (Jeanine) Hinshaw and Rob Hinshaw; daughter Amanda (Bryan) Reed; grandchildren, Rachel, Ethan, Eli, Matthew, Rebekah, Alissa and Cara.   He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Matthew Hinshaw.   As to his wishes, he will be cremated and the family will have a private ceremony at a later date.  Arrangements were entrusted to Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel.  Online condolences may be made at www.fredrickandson.com.
