March 25, 2012David was born in Oakdale on April 15, 1955. He was a life long resident of Oakdale, graduating from Oakdale High School in 1973. He was married for 36 years to his wife, Paula. He was diagnosed early in life, age 20, with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He became one of Stanford's Cancer Research patients in working towards a cure for this disease. David worked for Foster Farms Dairy for thirteen years then retiring due to his long term illness. He served his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Oakdale Fire Department for several years. David was a life long outdoor enthusiast. He had a great love for his Labrador companion, Haven. His fondest desire was to touch lives spiritually, guide and comfort those who experienced pain and suffering as he did during his life long fight. David was called home to be with his heavenly Father, March 25, 2012. David leaves his wife, Paula. Father, Mike Hinshaw (Geri), Brothers Gary Hinshaw (Alicia), Daniel Hinshaw (Sandy), and sister Janice Russo. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Carolyn McKellips. The funeral will be held on April 9th, 11 a.m. at Shelter Cove Community Church. The Family requests remembrances be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356-9259
