William inherited lands from his father and became one of the propserous farmers of his township. He was a ruling elder of the Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church for many years and an active worker in that church.¹³³

He married Ann Parker, May 28 1807, Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church, Laurel Hill, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.^b,c,133,78 Ann was born in 1786, Pennsylvania.^c,133,78

Although it has been reported that William died Mar 14 1845,^133,78 this date is incorrect. William Henshaw was shown in the 1850 census (Sep 25 1850), living in Union Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania with daughter Caroline and son William & his family:^a

William Henshaw, age 33, born in Pennsylvania; farmer; $400 real estate.

Caroline Henshaw, age 27, born in Pennsylvania.
