James had been previously married to Cammelia D. Jones, by whom he had children Millard F., Preston A., James and Joseph Buckner.7

Vettie Bunn Buckner, born Oct 31 1893; died Dec 29 1960, Chatham County, NC, buried Plainfield Friends Church; married Susiana Woody (children: Bunn Buckner and James Lewis Buckner). 3,7,8,9

Willmet T. Hinshaw died Nov 13 1893, near Spring MM, North Carolina; buried Row F column 17, Plainfield Friends Church, SR1335, Plainfield Church Road, Albright Township, Chatham County, North Carolina.1,2,3,4,7  

James remarried to Cora Agnes Hackney, by whom he had additional children Mattie A., Ada Bell, Margaret, Tull and Earl Buckner.7  

James died Jun 26 1932, Chatham County, North Carolina; age 75.3,8
