She married John Alexander Fennell, Dec 12 1856, Grainger County, Tennessee.2,3,4  Marriage bond dated Oct 27 1856.3  John Alexander Fennell was born 1815, Rowan County, North Carolina.4  

This was John's second marriage - his first wife had died in 1855.4  

Note that Martha's brother George married Mary Ann Fennell, daughter of John A. Fennell by his first marriage.  So Martha became step-mother to her own sister-in-law.

Fennell, Orlena, daughter, age 11, born in Tennessee; father born in North Carolina; mother born in Tennessee; attended school.
Fennell, Octava, daughter, age 6, born in Tennessee; father born in North Carolina; mother born in Tennessee.
Living next door in 1880 was the family of Martha's brother George.8  Also living nearby in 1880 was Martha's widowed father and sister Anna.9  

John Alexander Fennell died in early 1900 in Warren County, Tennessee; buried Nashville, Tennessee.4
