For some reason Harry was not shown with his parents' family in the 1880 census, when he would have been four years old.9  

He married Amanda Leota Coggeshall1,4 [Leota Coggeshall2,3,5], Sep 23 18961,4, Wayne County, Indiana1,4.  Amanda, daughter of William Rufus Coggeshall & Amanda Cranor, was born Dec 22 1878, Bloomington, Randolph County, Indiana.1,3,8  

On Sep 12 1918 Harry Elbert Hinshaw, age 42, registered for the World War I draft in Cambridge City, Wayne County, Indiana.  He declared he was born Jan 28 1876, and was then residing in/near Greensfork, Wayne County, Indiana where he was a self-employed farmer.  He declared his nearest relative was Amanda Leota Hinshaw of the same address.  He was recorded as short, slender, brown eyes, black hair.6  

Harry and family were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 8 1930), Wayne County, Indiana:3

Hinshaw, Harry E., head-of-household, age 54, born in Indiana; father born in North Carolina; mother born in Indiana; first married at age 21; owned home; radio in home; occupation: farmer, general farm; not a veteran.
Hinshaw, Leota, wife, age 52, born in Indiana; parents born in Indiana; first married at age 19.
Hinshaw, Josephine M., daughter, age 29, born in Indiana; parents born in Indiana; single; occupation: bookkeeper, grocery.

Harry Elbert Hinshaw died 1954, buried Williamsburg (Mt. Zion) Cemetery, near Williamsburg, Green Township, Wayne County, Indiana.2,7,8  

Amanda died 1955, buried Williamsburg (Mt. Zion) Cemetery, near Williamsburg, Green Township, Wayne County, Indiana.8
