He married Amanda Leota Coggeshall^1,4 [Leota Coggeshall^2,3,5], Sep 23 1896^1,4, Wayne County, Indiana^1,4. Amanda, daughter of William Rufus Coggeshall & Amanda Cranor, was born Dec 22 1878, Bloomington, Randolph County, Indiana.^1,3,8

On Sep 12 1918 Harry Elbert Hinshaw, age 42, registered for the World War I draft in Cambridge City, Wayne County, Indiana. He declared he was born Jan 28 1876, and was then residing in/near Greensfork, Wayne County, Indiana where he was a self-employed farmer. He declared his nearest relative was Amanda Leota Hinshaw of the same address. He was recorded as short, slender, brown eyes, black hair.⁶

Harry and family were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 8 1930), Wayne County, Indiana:³

Harry Elbert Hinshaw died 1954, buried Williamsburg (Mt. Zion) Cemetery, near Williamsburg, Green Township, Wayne County, Indiana.^2,7,8

Amanda died 1955, buried Williamsburg (Mt. Zion) Cemetery, near Williamsburg, Green Township, Wayne County, Indiana.⁸
