Last year this hike was an easy five in the snow. This year we'll call it a hard four. The steep climbs never last for long, but there are a few late in the hike that provide a good kick.

For reasons still unclear, there was a huge turnout for this hike. Everyone managed to finish, but the spread was quite large for a level 4 hike.

Jane, Ross, Eric, and Steve ventured off-trail to Panochita Hill on the southern border of the park.
