Born 7-9-1781, Randolph County, North Carolina.1,2,11,12,13  

He married Sarah McMasters2,3,4,5,14 [Mary McMasters1,8,12], about 18062,3,4,5,14.  Sarah, daughter of Jonathan McMasters & Hannah Hobson2,3,4,5,14 [Samuel McMasters & Nancy Warren1,8,12], was born Feb 23 17882,3,4,5,14, Randolph County, North Carolina2,3,4,5,14.  

Note that Thomas and his sisters Hannah and Dinah all married sibblings: Mary McMasters was the sister of Hannah's husband James McMasters and Dinah's husband Elisha McMasters.1  

At Cane Creek MM on 9 Mo. 3 1808, Thomas Hinshaw was disowned for his marriage out-of-unity.5,11  

Thomas and family were shown in the 1810 census living in Randolph County, North Carolina, as follows:5

Anna Hinshaw, age 24, born in North Carolina.

Sarah died Oct 17 1867, Randolph County, North Carolina; buried Cool Springs, Iredall County, North Carolina.2,4,5,8,14  

Sarah Hinshaw, widow of Thomas, left a will dated Jul 26 1852, probated Nov 1867 (Randolph County, NC Will Book 14, page 188)5,16 (see below).
