Gloria "Tiny" Hinshaw, age 68, resident of Mooreland, Indiana, went to be with God on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. She was at her home with her family at her side. She was born September 29, 1944 in New Castle, Indiana a daughter of the late Edgar and Patricia Clear McCoy.
She was a 1962 graduate of South Bend Central High School. She was retired from Dana Corporation after 30 years of service. She attended Mt. Summit Christian Church and Sebring Christian Church in Sebring, Florida. She loved family activities, and enjoyed making decorative tiles, stretcher pads, blankets, and quilts.
Left to cherish her loving memory include her husband of 50 years, Gerald Hinshaw; 1 daughter, Greta Atkinson (husband Larry) of Greensburg, Indiana; special daughter, Sherry Hinshaw (husband Jay) of Losantville, Indiana; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Atkinson (wife Tracy) of Georgia, Austin Atkinson of Greensburg, Indiana, and Rachel White (husband Cody) of Tennessee; 3 great-grandchildren, Elijah Atkinson, Kyrie Atkinson, and Annlye White; 2 brothers, Barry McCoy of South Bend, Indiana and Tim McCoy of South Bend, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son, Gerald D. Hinshaw Jr.
Friends may call from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Mt. Summit Christian Church (508 South Walnut Street, Mt. Summit, Indiana 47361). Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the church with Reverend Mark O’Brien officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Henry County Cancer Society (1909 Walnut Street, New Castle, Indiana 47362). Envelopes will available at the church.
