The messenger of death has again visited our little city and taken an old and honored citizen, Iram Hinshaw; aged 70 years, 8 months and 8 days.  Brother Iram Hinshaw was born in Randolph county, Indiana, on the 8th of June 1838, and was taken from this life at ten o'clock this morning, at his home in the east part of this city.  He has been a sufferer for years, but never gave up to content himself to remain in doors until within the past few months, when his affliction gained on him and he was unable to be up only a few minutes at a time.  He joined the Masonic Lodge in 1866, at Lynn, Indiana, and has lived a just and upright mason ever since, and this order will have charge of the services and burial.  Funeral services will be held either Thursday or Friday and will be announced as soon as word is received from relatives, as to when they can get to this city.
