Margaret was born Aug 16 1828, Walpers Crossroads, West Virginia.^a (Aug - 1827).^j (c1830).^f,c,d,e,k Margaret Jane had been named after her father's sister, and for one and onehalf years after her father's death she lived with her half-sister Sally in Martinsburg, WVa where she went to school.^a
