Born 7-1-17974,6,7,8 [7-7-17979, 7-7-179610], Chatham County, North Carolina4,6,7,8.
He married Hannah Moon, Sep 24 1817, Chatham County, North Carolina.1,6,8,11 Hannah, daughter of Jacob Moon & Ruth Hinshaw4,6,12,13,14, was born 3-14-17984,6,12,13,14 [5-11-179810], North Carolina4,6,12,13,14.
A marriage bond was recorded for Jesse Hinshaw & Hannah Moon on Sep 24, 1817, Chatham County, North Carolina. Josiah Hinshaw was recorded as a bondsman (was this Jesse's father, Jesse? or was it Isaiah??).15
On 7-4-1818 at Cane Creek MM, "Jesse, Jr." was disowned for being "married out of unity (to first cousin)". On 10-3-1818, "Hannah Hinshaw" was also similarly disowned for marrying a first cousin. Hannah was the daughter of Ruth (Hinshaw) Moon, Jesse's Aunt (sister of Jesse's father, Jesse), so they were indeed first cousins.6
On Jan 3 1828 Jesse purchased 80 acres of land in Parke County, Indiana.16 He was described in this land record as "Jesse Hinshaw of Bartholomew County, Indiana",16 which seems to indicate that he had moved to Indiana before 1828.
