Note in the 1910 enumeration he was called "Lankford", and all records of him in later life are as Langford William Henshaw. It appears that when his mother remarried to William Lankford Hinshaw (about 1909, when Langford was about six years old) he was apparently renamed Langford William Hinshaw.14
Langford was a World War I veteran.8

Rites Slated
TEMPLE (Stafff) [sic] -- Funeral services for Langford William Henshaw Sr., 70, a former Odessa resident who died in the Scott Clinic after a brief illness, will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Bethel Baptist Church in Coushatta, La.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Born June 30, 1903, in Nashville, Tenn., Henshaw moved to Odessa in 1948 from Louisiana. He was married to Laura Belle Baggett. Henshaw worked as a sales representative for an Odessa company until he retired in 1965. He held three U.S. patents on teflon rubbers for pumping units.
Henshaw was a Baptist and a Mason. He had been living at Oak Creek Lake since he retired.
Survivors include his widow of the home; a son, Langford W. Henshaw Jr. of Midland; two daughters; and 10 grandchildren.

LAURA BELLE HENSHAW
Our beloved mother, Laura Belle (Baggett) Henshaw, 90, of San Angelo went to be with our Lord Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999.
Mother was born Aug. 31, 1909, in Coushatta, La. She was married to our father, Langford William Henshaw Sr., who preceded her in death in 1973.
Mother is survived by one son, Langford William Henshaw Jr. of Porter and two daughters, Gloria Burleson of San Angelo and Joan Warkentin of Hilo, Hawaii. She is loved and missed by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Precious is the knowledge that she planted the seeds of Christ's love that have borne fruit in her children and grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Bethal Baptist Church in Coushatta with the Rev. Wiley Coley of Bethal Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Bethal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home and Nettle Funeral Home of Coushatta.
