He married Jedidah Hinshaw, about 1831.2,140    Jedidah Hinshaw, daughter of William Hinshaw & Ruth Hinshaw, was born 7-12-1812, Chatham County, North Carolina.1,2,43
Benjamin & Jedidah were first cousins.    On 7-2-1831 at Cane Creek MM, Benjamin Hinshaw was reported as having been "married out of unity".2
On 10-1-1831 at Cane Creek MM, Jedida Hinshaw was condemned for her being "married out of unity".2
Jedidah Hinshaw died about 1849.43
