Born Jul 22 1769, Mill Creek, Berkeley County, Virginia.1,2,7,10,11,12  

Levi was prominent in the affairs of state and country.  In 1810 he was a Justice of the Peace, and a member of the county court of Berkeley County, Virginia.1  In 1822, 1830, and 1831 he was a member of the House of Delegates of Virginia.1,11  In 1840 he was the sheriff of Berkeley County, Virginia.1,11  

He married Nancy Davidson, May 18 1797, Mill Creek, Berkeley County, West Virginia.1,2,5,7,9,11,12  Nancy was born Mar 30 1770.1,2  

Nancy died Dec 15 1804, Morgans Chapel, Bunker Hill, West Virginia.1,2,13  

He then married Ann McConnell1,2,5,7,9,11,12,14 [Anna McConnell15], May 1 18061,2,5,7,9,11,12,14 [Apr 29 180615], Mill Creek, Berkeley County, West Virginia1,2,5,7,9,11,12,14.  Ann, daughter of William McConnel & Mary Cowan, was born Sep 18 1778.1,2,7  

Note that Levi's brother Hiram married Anne's sister Mary McConnell,1,2,5,10,11,14 and his other brother Nicholas married Margaret McConnel11 (a cousin??).

Ann's death was reported in the "Virginia Free Press" (Charles Town, West Virginia) on Thursday, November 28, 1839.17  

Levi Henshaw died Sep 9 1843, Mill Creek, Berkeley County, Virginia; buried Bunker Hill, Berkeley County, West Virginia.1,2,9,11,12  

Levi was buried beside his father William, in the graveyard of the old Mill Creek Protestant Episcopal Church, about a mile down Mill Creek from his home (this church later became known as Christ's Protestant Episcopal Church, Bunker Hill, West Virginia).1
