On Jun 5 1917 William W. Hinshaw, age 23, registered for the World War I draft in Jackson County, Alabama.  He declared he was born June 15th 1893 in Estill Fork, Alabama, and was then married, occupied in farming.  He was recorded as medium height, slender, brown eyes, dark hair.7

Martha's obituary was published in "The Daily Sentinel" (Scottsboro, Alabama):10

Mrs. Martha Jane Henshaw, 87, of Huntland, Tenn., died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1985 in a Winchester, Tennessee hospital.  

Funeral services were held Thursday at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Worthy Terry and Tommy Lands officiating.  

Burial was in Henshaw Cemetery.  

Mrs. Henshaw is survived by three daughters, Beatrice Money and Irene Vaughn, both of Estillfork, and Pauline Jacks of Huntland, Tennessee; two sons, Ravel Henshaw of Estillfork and R.L. Henshaw of Huntland; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
