At Marlborough MM on 1-12-1832, Nathan produced a certificate from Holly Spring MM, to marry.10
He married Asenath Hodgin, 1-19-1832, Marlborough MM, North Carolina.1,3,5,9,10,11 Asenath, daughter of Joseph Hodgin & Ruth Dicks3,5,6,9,12, was born 2-16-18093,5,6,9,12, Ohio3,5,6,9,12 [North Carolina13,14].
At Whitewater MM (Indiana) on 5-23-1832, Asenath (no mention of Nathan) was received on a certificate from Marlborough MM, N.C.; endorsed to Cherry Grove MM. Note that Asenath was received and endorsed through to Cherry Grove together with her mother-in-law Phebe (Allen) Hinshaw.15
At Cherry Grove MM on 6-9-1832, Nathan, his mother Phebe and siblings, were received on a certificate from Holly Spring MM, N.C., endorsed by Whitewater MM. On the same date, Aseneth was received on a certificate from Marlborough MM, Randolph County, by Whitewater MM endorsement.5

Cherry Grove MM on 11-14-1857 recorded "Nathan Hinshaw, Lynn meeting, complained of for 'making false statements & getting drunk'; 12-12-57 'he denies charges'; 3-13-1858 disowned".5
