In the early 1850s they moved to adjoining Jefferson County.1

Patterson and family were shown in the 1860 census (Jun 29 1860), Jefferson County, Tennessee:3

The two year old child Cath shown in the 1860 census was probably not Patterson & Rebecca's child, but was more likely a grandchild or other close relative.13  Rebecca would have been 52 years old when Cath was born, and furthermore Patterson & Rebecca already had a daughter named Catherine.  Cath might have been a daughter of sons Henry, William or Harrison.13

Patterson Hinchey died Mar 13 1862, Dandridge, Jefferson County, Tennessee.5

Rebecca died 1885, Jefferson County, Tennessee.10
