Butano State Park is a nice place not far from many places we hike, but the trailhead is on the Pacific side of the Santa Cruz Mountains, making for a long drive from the South Bay (and many other places).

There was plenty of climbing over deadfall as we got farther into the park, which wouldn't be a big deal if not for the $10 entrance fee. They clearly aren't spending the money to clear the trails.
