Zebedee and Caroline were 5th cousins.    Note that Zebedee's sister Sabra married Caroline's brother, Simeon Cox, and Zebedee's other sister Hannah married Caroline's other brother, Zeno Cox (the three Hinshaw siblings married Cox siblings, all 5th cousins).
Caroline Cox Hinshaw was the first telephone operator in the Climax, N.C.    area, which she operated out of her home.    She was also a midwife, weaver, and tailor.153
